The Vocal Academy:

Singers will explore performance through acting, movement and voice instruction.  Our commitment to build stronger musicians will also include active participation in musicianship skills (rhythm, sight singing and theory) in a fun group environment.  Students will have the opportunity to work with professional singers in individual and group lessons. Focusing on solo repertoire, students will all have opportunity to perform in masterclass settings and in a public performance at the end of the program.

A 30 minute trail lesson and consultation is offered free of charge for interested clients. From this assessment either 45 minute or hour long lessons will be suggested.

$40/ 45 minute voice lesson.

Teaching:

Private RATES:

I am passionate about helping students find and develop their own unique vocal potential and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the vocal arts.

My studio is grounded on two main principles:

  • To sing well in any desired style an understanding and cultivation of a vocal technique based upon free-flowing breath is necessary.
  • Singing is a wholistic pursuit which requires that we grow as musicians, people, artists, actors and communicators.

My aim in teaching is to provide the highest quality instruction to the amateur student. I desire to instill a love and appreciation for a variety of vocal styles to my students. I am passionate about providing tools in which my students can learn and develop their vocal ability based upon a classical technique.

I have taught various ages of students, from ages 12 to mature adult, and love learning and exploring what the voice can do in all of these stages of life!

Performance opportunities for those interested will be offered at a minimum of twice a year.

I am a NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) member and a registered Royal Conservatory of Music teacher and am able to prepare students for their examinations if this is something the student desires.
